Pancake Day

Today is pancake day and, in true Ben's Centre spirit, we began the morning with wonderful smells coming from the kitchen.Dave was taking part in cooking today and Wendy taught him how to make American Pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup. The maple syrup had sat upon Wendy's shelf at home, since she'd brought it back from Vancouver, waiting for a suitable moment in time to be drizzled on warm, fluffy pancakes, and today was that day. Yum... (can you picture them ... because in all the enjoyment we forgot to take photos)

Dave then set to, making large amounts of traditional English pancake batter to satisfy the masses after lunch. Frying pans and batter in hand... let battle commence.Sometimes its good to embrace the day, get rid of the old, in the tradition of pancake day, and make way for the new. You never know what's next at Ben's but we certainly look forward to the new...
